Seamen's Day, 3. June
Seamen´s Day is a annual Event in Iceland and is celebrated in Hafnarfjordur especially. Just head straight to the harbour were the small boats are and then you will hopefully find something of interest.
13:00–16:00 Festival programme by the harbour for small boats.
13:00–16:00 Pleasure cruises – depart at half-hour intervals. Free of charge.
14:00 Formal opening, honouring of sailors followed by entertainments.
Traditional rowing, lifting and climbing competitions.
