The Museum of Hafnarfjörður at Vesturgata 8 exhibits cultural artefacts and photographs of the town and its surrounding region. Housed in a number of buildings and outposts around Hafnarfjörður, the museum's collection offers extraordinary insight into the region's rich heritage.   Hafnarfjörður Museum also has a small Tourist Information Office – Tel. +354 585 5780 Open daily from 11–17 in June, July and August. At other times of year: Sat. – Sun. 11–17.

This summer there will be a small flea market situated in front of the Library at Strandgata 1. The market will be open: Monday to Saturday from 12-18 and there you will be able to buy everything from homemade jam to vintage clothes and everything in between.
